These pictures are taken in 1954, Daegu, Korea.
At that time, it was just ended The Korea War.
Because of this big war,
Almost all of mountains of Korea were bald.
There's no tree anymore.
It was really Serious.
But, Many Korean Studets started planting trees on mountains
where they stay.
The first planting activity was placed in Pusan.
Many Korean RCY volunteers planted trees
on Cheonmasan Mountain 5th April, 1953.

After that activity, Korea decided that day as Sikmogil,
Korean Arbor Day.
And also that day is Korean RCY's day.
Every 5th April, Many RCY volunteers plant trees
on mountain.
Nowadays, trees are becomming more important.
Let's plant trees around our place.
